- Not being on time for the date- Seriously, being kept waiting is incredibly irritating, and irritated is not the first feeling you want your date to have towards you.
- Talking way too much during the date- yes we understand that you have a lot to say, that you want to appear interesting, that you hate awkward silences. But hey, you know what women hate…men who CANNOT SHUT UP! There’s something to be said about letting your date occasionally, you know, give her opinion on something, listening to it, and then basing your reply on what she says. You can control the conversation if you’re the type of person that talks a lot, but let her get a word or two in edgewise.
- Talking too little during the date- there is nothing more boring than a man who’s only contribution to a conversation are short phrases. Yes we women like to talk about ourselves, but we don’t want to be the only one participating in the date.
- Texting, calling somebody else during the date- unless there is some catastrophic emergency, and by that I mean somebody is about to die horribly and you are the only one that can save them, wait until AFTER the date to tend to your messages.
- Not offering to pay for the FIRST date- Now I am not saying that a man should always pay. Really in today’s society, women are able more than capable in paying for their plate, and dare I say it, his as well. But for the first date, yes the woman should reach for her wallet, that’s only polite, but the man should pay. Might be sexist, might be ridiculous. Don’t care, just do it.
